Hosted and founded by David Hess, Rising Above began as a podcast sharing raw conversations with people who have faced addiction, homelessness, incarceration, trafficking, abuse, loss, and other life-changing circumstances.
These are not only stories about what happened. They are stories about how people survived, rebuilt, found purpose, and kept moving forward.
Today, that mission is growing into an independent media organization: a platform for creators and communities to tell stories that matter.
